The Rotary Club of Montrose hosted their second Mens’ Health Night on Wednesday 28 May 2014 at the Dorset Gardens Hotel with over sixty men of all ages in attendance.
The major sponsors of the evening were Mt Evelyn and Montrose Community Bank® branches along with Mooroolbark Community Bank® Branch.
The crowd was treated to an excellent two course meal and entertained by popular comedian Des Dowling and former Collingwood AFL Captain Tony Shaw.
On a more serious note, Cardiologist Ron Dick and Urological Surgeon Adam Landau provided commonsense commentary on those ailments particularly common to men.
Representatives and guests in attendance were given formal time to express their gratitude for the opportunity to be involved in the evening.
The night provided a great opportunity for those attending to learn a little more about the need to maintain a good health regime, including regular check ups with a medical practitioner, and the value of open discussion in an informal forum.
The Rotary Club of Montrose is to be congratulated on this initiative and we look forward to supporting many more of these evenings over the years to come.
