After five and a half years as Chair of Mt Evelyn and Districts Financial Services Ltd, (MEDFSL) the operating Company of Mt Evelyn and Montrose Community Bank® branches, Jill Rule has decided to step down from the role. Jill would like to spend more time with her grandchildren and pursuing other interests. Jill will continue on the Board as a Director.
Taking over as Chair is one of the Company’s newest Directors, Terry Marshall. Father of three, Terry is a semi-retired and a self-employed sales agent within the giftware industry dealing with retail and wholesale businesses, of which he has been associated with over a period of 35 years.
Terry also administers a successful family property investing company and has dealt with numerous financial institutions over many years. He has a solid understanding of personal finance management.
In addition, Terry has spent the past ten years associated with The Basin Wildcats Basketball Club as a coach, committee member and former President; having held the latter position for four years.
Terry met David Watt, the Senior Manager of Mt Evelyn Community Bank® in 2012. David on behalf of the bank, agreed to become a sponsor of The Basin Wildcats Basketball Club. Terry was so impressed by their philosophy of giving back to sporting and community groups, he agreed to assist MEDFSL in their endeavours to open an additional branch. This new branch may not have become a reality, but Terry’s drive and commitment were acknowledged and he was invited to join the board in April 2014.
Now as Chairman, Terry is keen to ensure both Community Bank® branches, at Mt Evelyn and Montrose, continue their support and involvement within the community.
